Survey reveals valuable prospect opportunities
for Pi Phi Foundation
Recently, Endowment Builders helped the Pi Phi Foundation take a simple step to increase their contact with good planned giving prospects. Using a survey is a quick and effective way to jump start getting out and seeing potential planned giving donors. In Pi Phi’s case, surveys were mailed to donor who seemed likely to be interested in planned giving because of:
- Loyal giving
- High involvement
- Age
With a 28% response rate, Pi Phi identified 13 new planned gifts and 14 new contacts. In addition, they discovered that a majority of the respondents felt that planned giving is important but had not done it yet. Finally, Pi Phi confirmed that their Alumnae magazine, The Arrow, is the best way to communicate about planned giving with donors.
Quite a lot of activity out of one survey… let us know if we can help your organization make creative use of surveys to increase your contact with your planned giving audience.
